SOME BIRDS ARE NOT TO BE CAGED

“Some birds are not meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild. So you let them go, or when you open the cage to feed them they somehow fly out past you. And the part of you that knows it was wrong to imprison them in the first place rejoices, but still, the place where you live is that much more drab and empty for their departure.”

Stephen King, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption: A Story from Different Seasons

I couldn’t think of lines any where closer to what I have quoted above.  With dreams so lucid and dramas so dramatic, clashes among the different schools of thought are obvious. You know not who wins but you can’t stop trying! You deserve to fly and kiss the sky!

Talk about fashion and talk about inspiration. Neon feathers depict the exaggerated desire to stay high and soar up in the sky. They seem to be both- high on trend and high on passion.

And trust me, this feeling never dies!

P.S.- I thank Boticca and Indian Fashion Bloggers for the pretty neon accessory I got from a contest they ran a while back. :)

Reporting from Germany- STYLE Inspirations for MEN

“Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.”
- Mark Twain

Fashion is for all. Brimming over for women, thoughtful enough for men! So thoughtful, that I had to take Bindigasm all the way to Germany to catch hold of some inspiration for men.
So, men! Here are some style inspirations for you. After all, its the way you look that makes everybody look back at you (until you have actually done something really funny/embarrassing ;))
#1 Denims never fail.

FUNKY HAIR DO- for summers

Trying out this funky colorful hairdo to go out under the sun on a Sunday!
Rainbow bun. Likey?

Quick tips/ideas for this DIY:

Material ideas-
  • Colorful shoelaces - available in the street markets.
  • Colorful fabric scraps- try printed fabrics or solids. Both look good.
  • Macrame or crochet threads give a nice texture and thickness too.
  • Woolen yarn for some furry feel.
  • Satin ribbons - your anytime savior.

Use a small scrunchy and start knotting 3-4 inches long of these threads over it.
You'll reach somewhere. :)
PS: picture of a lady from Poppurri.  Thanks for the inspiration. :)

NEON-ised FLORALS

Summer's totally coming over now! And so are summer trends! :)
With florals considered a classic style for perfect for summers and neon making its way back in- a combination of both has caught my eye.
PS- I am posting this article on InFB remix

Quick tips:
  • Leggings in various colors and even floral prints are a must have this summer.
  • Try Neon in prints and patterns to make it look fresh and busy and eye-catching- not just flat.
  • Its the color that speaks your mood and also effects it. So, opt for lovely bright colors in florals suitable for summer which look light and bright.
  • Try dresses, skirts, leggings or scarves instead of the regular floral tops of the "Been there, done that" situation.
  • If going for floral tops, ignore the blue and black denims. Alternatively, try colored bottoms. They look awesome.:)

Go bloom! :)

CANDID NEON

A neon pink jacket worn by Aparna the other day. Neon is so making a comeback with a big bang again this season.
Started with some alien experiments and discoveries of lights and electricity, it was the Pop era which caught the fashion leaders eye to start the neon trend.
There were neon lights in clubs and parties. There were neon beach wear designs by Robin Piccone in the 80s. The kids and street smartys took up the trend right away.
And we keep on bringing it up in new ways every time.
More on neon to come up soon!:)
