STYLE STATEMENT - The true identity.

Last weekend was a day of consuming a high dose of fashion. Not exactly just fashion, but style! To be even more precise, let us call them style statements!

We might chant high mantras of heels, breathe trends inside out, exercise fashionably and do all the gumptious tasks to look beautiful, but what matters is the expression of your inner self. Hence, style statements take away the charm. When God intentionally created each of us so distinct, he made it sure that everyone of us gets to define his own statement in style.

The way she feels about leather, its texture and the smell or the texture and touch of faux leather stands her inside strength out. There is hope around every corner and so the eyes carry those wings. The moment those coral nails see the golden bird flying out of the ring, it relates to me as drenching into freshwater corals, if there are any! When you are confident, enough to stay on one side and everyone else takes the other side, those hair give you support. Also, there is a statement of style wherein she shows her geekiness not because she is geeky with the materialistic thoughts but because she is geeky with the immaterialistic emotions.

A ton thanks to Ruhi, Rhea, Ritu, Megha and Tamanna for posing and not posing. :)

High-street sensuality. High-end leather.

Could it be any better for a bunch of curious fashion interpreters in the town than a day spent discovering new realms of fashion and style?

Wooplr recently organised Woopathon, a fashion bloggers meet in Bangalore in association with Avirate and TLB. <Four new words here!>

Wooplr is an online social recommendation website, wherein people share and explore each other’s unique shopping finds and connect with people and brands of their taste. Call it a smarter way to hunt for new ideas of shopping<especially for the lazy ones like me>.

Avirate is a high fashion brand from Sri Lanka that specialises from corporate womenswear to glamorous partywear. You would drool over the chunky accessories and shoes they have. Anyone who loves crazy printed dresses, sexy high heels and scintillating accessories comes out happy from the store- they have everything that makes a woman feel sensuous. <Not to forget the men, they can relax in a cosy chocolate cafe called Bliss that is set up next to each store of Avirate, while women shop and take their own sweet time in there.>

TLB- The Leather Boutique is the place for people who love leather and love nature. TLB highlights a second to none range of high-end leather products that is a by-product of the meat industry and strictly works against animal poaching. From a sleek wine bottle case to a quirky iPad cover, TLB houses a fantastic range of leather products one can never not look back to.

Couldn’t have been able to explore the high-street sensuality and high-end leather without Wooplr! Here are some interesting picks.

OH, WHAT’S THAT ON YOUR HAIR?

You keep on buying new clothes and new shoes, but the concerns of your beauty shall come through the extra effort you put in to grace your look. Those lovely hair, that shine on your nails, the fragrance you wear and the way you walk in those shoes!

Interestingly, head accessories have been driving me crazy out on the streets. So, I thought of collecting a few fancy ideas trending this winter.

The Boho head-wrap
An obvious finding- Boho inspired style on the streets. Doesn't it mean how expressive we have become to show our love for freedom and liberty? Usually in deeper colors, black being most common, it gets a high grading with studs on it. Check out this Boho chic lost in her camera.

Feathers
Another one in my lust list. Pumped with trending neon colors and that too in various creative styles- like a hair extension or a head ring, feathers make you fly between the clouds. And they look fantastic on your dark hair.

 Animals on hair
Cute animals to beautiful insects in pretty shapes and cheerful colors- butterflies, ladybugs, starfishes etc. all are supposed to look beautiful on your hair today. Personally, I would like a sparkling white dove spreading its wings clipped onto my hair.

Metallica
Ornaments have always been seen with heaps of gold, silver and copper reflecting light from them. The necklaces, earrings, bangles etc are a story of been-there-done-that. Trends suggest adding some bling onto your hair too. With the coming festive season, there are shining varieties of metallic clips and headbands to choose from.

Over-sized flowers
And the drama begins. Big blooming flowers clipped onto hair in an accent bright color. Totally lifts up your look in that subtle dress. Moreover, you can also use the over-sized floral clip as a brooch on your dress. Smart eh!

Of Bows and Hearts
Nothing may look girlie and sexy at the same time. The adorable bows!  It’s your call, wear them on clips, tic-tacs, and scrunchie or hair band.  There are no limits of colors and no limits of sizes. Have a look!

P.S.- the metallic clips and the cute bow are from Pigtails and Ponys
So, I am off to try a new look everyday! What about you?

A Festive Extravaganza

Welcome winter with heaps of celebrations, weddings and festivities. The Bling in the dresses, the glowing lights and decorations and sparkling diamonds on the jewelry, all seem to be capturing the attention of our eyes.

To glam up these winters, “The house of Minawala”, a leading jewelry brand in India recently launched their extravagant collection of wedding jewels. Minawala celebrates the moment of togetherness with finely crafted designs. They are a brand known for their heritage, craftsmanship and as a connection between the tradition and modernity.

In their new range of wedding collection, one can find a range of opulent rubies, emeralds, pearls and polka diamonds in kundans/Jadau styles perfectly coordinated with each other. They are designed with a modernistic approach as in chokers, cocktail rings, chandelier earrings, marvelous cuffs. ‘A perfect marital bliss for the bride’- they quote for the launched wedding collection.

The launch event also organized a fashion show of their collection and other popular clothing brands such as Avirate, Rumour, Kimaya and many more. A sneak peek into the trending styles of festive wear – use of velvets, gold embroidery, loads of zari, brocades and the rich colors of the season.

An extravaganza is was!
